• The main reason for the need of this program is that Guitar Pro is a very popular format but Guitar Pro does NOT have yet versions for other operational systems like:

- Linux,Solaris, BSD and other unices
- MacOs
- others

• DGuitar Requirements

• Any opertional system with Java Runtime Environment 1.4.X installed and configured (run "java -version" to test if correct Java version is installed)

  • Any Linux,BSD, Unix machine

  • MacOs (let me know if it does not work on your Mac)

  • Windows XP,2003,2000,9X

• its recommended a configured sound card with MIDI support

• mouse,keyboard,monitor...etc ;-)

• DGuitar0.2.9.a.zip contains both the Program and the sources
  DGuitar-nosrc-0.2.9.a.zip contains ONLY the Program

• I decided to use java, because I can Write the program ONCE and run it EVERYWHERE

• Since DGuitar 0.4.2 GP3 and GP4 files are played without effects, the program also plays MIDI files.

• The print function is under work, you can always capture the screen and send it to your printer ;-)

• The programs will reach its main GOAL when it reaches version 1.X.Y

• The program is called DGuitar because is "The-Guitar" Pro viewer, printer and player)
